Mortgage For First Time Buyers

The Yorkshire Building Society has re-introduced first time buyer mortgages.

There are no fees to pay – upfront or later – and there’s a £500 cashback to help with moving costs.

The mortgages are for up to 85% of the property’s cost, leaving you only to find the 15% deposit.

All legal fees are included and a standard survey is free.

As an example of the savings to be made, the 2 year fixed rate plan on a typical £150,000 property would save the buyer over £1,700.

Tom Girling, Product Manager for Mortgages, told The News Bureau:

“With so many other things to buy to furnish that first home, we know that first time buyers need a little help when it comes to fees. This range, exclusive to first time buyers, also offers £500 cashback which might just be enough to get that flat-screen for the World Cup.”
